Let’s Go!
African wild dogs perform a sort of ritual before they go hunting, running around, and greeting each other. They always have their ears back and tails up in the air. To me these endangered canines resemble the excitement that a domestic pet dog can get if you say “let’s go for a walk.” After a few minutes of running around like this and relieving themselves, they trot off to find prey. This image was captured in September of 2023 in Jeki, Zambia.
