Last June I spotted this young Eastern Kingbird making an attempt to fly with the encouragement of one of the adult birds pictured here with him. He didn't quite make it and pretty much fell into the branches of a nearby tree. This is one of the few occasions I've witnessed a young bird learning to fly and I'm glad I had my camera with me to capture the moment.
