Kaya(home)

Kaya which means house is a photograph that was taken on the south bank of Maputo bay in the Catembe district in Mozambique, it seeks to bring the true essence of the importance of the Mangal forest, in the photograph appears a small mangrove that at first glance appears to be just a little plant with no importance or even a promising future due to the conditions of the place where it is located, but its resilience and importance goes beyond what we can imagine and see. The Mangal serves as a nursery for several marine species and beyond, it is where some birds place their nests to lay their eggs, not to mention that the same plants serve as a coastal barrier preventing the occurrence of erosion. Kaya seeks to lead us to reflection, to the comfort of home, the shelter and protection of a home. It's not just a tree, it's Kaya (house)
