Juvenile White Ibis Preening
I never saw American White Ibis in the wild until I moved to Coastal Carolina, and they have become one of my favorite birds to see here. This stunning juvenile White Ibis was preening its breast feathers in the Oak tree above me when I got this wonderful shot. I love the intensity of the direct view of the vertical beak as it digs into the feathers combined with the bokeh background.
