22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Just before the heavy downpour.
The clouds get thicker and darker when it is about to rain. The thicker it gets, the nicer the cloudy sky appears. The lumpy clouds have resulted in interesting color contrasts which make the image exciting.
