Juniper Tree at Reeves Ridge Ranch
Beautiful old Juniper Tree. This tree is on one of our trails (Trinny's Trail) and is a pleasure to live with. The scent of her needle like soft leaves is heady on a warm day especially in the winter. The texture of her stringy grey/brown bark is a visual treat as are the dusty dark blue hues of her berries, which are really cones and are used for many purposes including flavouring gin. They also have a soft shell rather than the hard cleft, cones of most evergreens
