We usually go in to Boston for the July 4th celebration. A concert along the Charles River at what is called the Hatch Shell has been put on by conductor Keith Lockheart and the Boston Pops. Covid altered all that No concert and the fireworks display was moved to the Boston Common. Our room was on an upper floor facing the Common. The night was wet and gloomy. The crowd was significantly less than the the usual launch from barges on the Chales river.
