There is a little place on Route 19E called The Appalachian Station at 19E. It is a youth hostel for hikers on the Appalachian Trail and is located just across the NC border in TN just outside of Elk Park, NC and before Roan Mountain, TN. We had read about their food and stopped by one Saturday Afternoon. We found out that there is a large group of musicians who gather every Saturday at 3PM and play together, one after the other requesting the group to accompany them.
