This jackal specialised to catch unsuspecting drinking birds at this waterhole. He stalked them from behind the rocky sides and finally jumped over the rocks right into the water onto the fleeing prey. This unlucky sandgrouse was caught in the water and in this image the jackal just returned with the prey out of the water
