21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest The American Experience
It never snows inside the Cliff Palace

This is an iconic view of the Cliff Palace in Mesa Verde National Park, however, it is unusual to see pictures of it with snow covering all around. The Cliff Palace was well seated such that only a few snow can get into it, and you will be amazed by the choice of ancient puebloans that created this masterpiece. The color is also well tuned with blue sky, white clouds/snow and brownish rooms/cliffs.
