This is a well intact Irish Ringfort. Ringforts where ancient castles in Ireland prior to Norman castles coming to the land. The size of your ringfort indicated your status and wealth in society. This ringfort was quite large with a few remains of buildings inside. Outside are a least two outer rings indicating that the person or family that lived here were of high importance and power at one time.
