21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Drone/Aerial
Infrastructure vs nature
Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is located in Utah. The park features uniquely pink-hued sand dunes formed from the erosion of pink-colored Navajo Sandstone surrounding the park. In the afternoon the dunes turn orange. The photo was taken from the air. I was inspired by the road that crossed the sandy area and the small bushes growing at the foot of the dune.
