Icebergs from the Alsek and Grand Plateau Glaciers populate Alsek Lake within Glacier Bay National Park from which the Alsek River flows an additional thirteen miles to Dry Bay and the Pacific Ocean.The Alsek Lake is a terminus for the Alsek/Tatshenshini Rivers whose headwaters originate in Alaska, Canada's Yukon and British Columbia Provinces. The Tatshenshini/Alsek River and tributaries is one of the most magnificent river systems in the world which flows through the Kluane and Saint Elias Provincial Parks in Canada, Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska, and has been declared a World Heritage Site.
