Icarus II
This is a second photo in the series, titled "Icarus II." The photograph is a self-portrait, focusing on melted wax and feathers as the most important aspects of the photograph, contrasted with a deep red background. This photo was taken at a studio in Downtown Detroit. This photoshoot idea was inspired by the story of Icarus and Daedalus and the idiom "fly too close to the sun." I found this personally inspiring, as it served as a good reminder to remain humble and aware of limitations, whether it be one's own or circumstantial.
