17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Hurry down

It is common in Manuel Antonio National Park (Costa Rica), given the magnificent concentration of wildlife, to locate some sluths over the trees near the trail. It is less frequent to find them in activity and not at rest... and extremely rare going down the tree (to defecate, which happens once every two weeks approximately).
