Hunted
A 600kg male polar bear walks straight toward us, following our scent and closing the distance with a confident stride. The bear followed us all the way to the edge of the pack ice, nearly too close for comfort to our zodiac. There’s something profoundly humbling about being eye-level, face-to-face, and locking eyes with the Arctic’s top predator while it attempts to hunt you.
