In Muscat, the capital of Oman, I visited one of the most beautiful and magnificent mosques in the world, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Beyond the grandeur of the mosque's architecture, the lush greenery of its surrounding grounds was also very captivating. In the intense heat of late spring, landscaping workers were forced to tend to the flowers and trees under the direct sunlight. Almost all of these workers were from Pakistan, India, or Bangladesh. According to one of the workers, Oman is even hotter than Pakistan during this season.
