Horsetail Falls 2016

Horsetail Falls is a seasonal waterfall that flows near El Capitan in Yosemite Valley. A few weeks a year, when viewed from the right angle, at the right time of day, under the right conditions, the waterfall takes on a lava-like glow. In recent years it has been referred to as the fire-fall--a name which also refers to a 20th century activity that occurred at Glacier Point.
