Hippo Pool
The large open flood plains in northern Kafue are an idyllic spot for hippos, but with the drought this year dry conditions came early. Large groups of hippos have to share the remaining watering holes and channels, which in some places have dried out completely of been reduced to thick mud. More and more hippos share these cramped spots.
