Gulf of Mexico from Ft. Jefferson, Dry Tortugas

Visiting Dry Tortugas National Park was a dream come true for me. A two-hour boat ride brings to you the tiny island, which is dominated by Ft. Jefferson, a hexagonal fortification built in the 1800s but never completed. It's constructed of 16 million bricks, all of which had to be shipped in from the continental US.
