Goose barnacles are a type of crustacean (Lepas anatifera). They use their stalks to attach themselves to hard objects like floating timber, the hulls of ships, and flotsam. They feed on shrimp, polyps and the like, and also filter currents. , New South Wales, Australia, July 2022
