Goddess Durga is Ferried by Boat to other City for Worship before Festival. Recently Durga Puja inscribed on the UNESCO Repesentative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. As Ten day Celebration, Durgapuja represents the collective worship of the Hindu Goddess Durga. During this time, masterfully designed Clay models of the Goddess are worshipped in Pandals or Pavilions where Communities get together and celebrate Folk, music, Culinary, Craft and performing arts traditions add to the dynamism of this Celebration. While Durga Puja is one of the most Important festivals of West Bengal, India, it is widely observed across the country and in the major cities world by the Bengali diaspora. Here Goddess is ferried by boat from Kolkata city (Left side ) to Howrah City (right side) on the Hoogly River which was connected by the beautiful cantilever Howrah Bridge commissioned in 1943 by the Britisher before India independence
