Fleeting Light on Grinnell Lake, Glacier National Park MT Sony Ar73 Tamron 28-200 1/60 sec f/6.3 ISO100

Fleeting Light on Grinnell Lake. My sister and I ventured to Glacier National Park for some hiking and photography. The sky was angry on this particular day with rain showers on and off all day. We decided to attempt reaching Grinnell Glacier in Glacier National Park despite the dismal weather. Along the way we were informed by a few other hikers of a couple of young Grizzly bears were on the trail ahead of us. We happened upon a view of Grinnell lake with its stunning turquoise water. There were a few breaks in the clouds allowing in some fleeting light. I set up my tripod and just shot through the breaks in the clouds. The shrubs were glowing red and crimson as the sun broke through and illumined the leaves. The wind had periods of calmness. The clouds were dancing across the sky enveloping the lightly snow covered peaks. The scene was nearly perfect. I quickly forgot all about the bears on the trail and was totally engrossed in the splendid scene directly in front of me. I shot for awhile until my sister decided that it was time to continue on up the trail.
