Female Western Bluebird, preening
There was a flock of Western Bluebirds along what we call The Haul Road on the Mendocino coast. This female was sitting on an old fence post, preening. The sun was behind her so I thought it would make a good capture with the natural back-lighting. It was liked enough by our local Audubon Society newsletter editor, to put it in the newsletter as a "Photo of the Month." It's definitely one of my old favorites.
