On July 30th, 2024, in the Maasai Mara, I witnessed a large group of vultures in the midst of a frenzied feast, scavenging on the remains left behind by a lion family after their meal. It was a rare and intense sight, as vultures descended to claim their share in the circle of life. I felt incredibly fortunate to observe and capture this powerful scene, as such moments are not only uncommon but also require a good vantage point to truly convey the raw energy and survival instinct of these remarkable scavengers.
