Fearing Falling Again As I Age

The fear of falling again limits my activities. A fractured ankle made me a stay at home husband for 9 months. In that time, my self confidence dwindled and fear of falling again, is ever present and rules my every action. This photo is of me trying to decide whether to shower with the help of my wife, or not bother her and take another sponge bath. The sponge bath won again. The recovery continues, and I grow more hopeful. I often wonder how other aging souls find themselves disabled, alone, dealing with a tattered healthcare system.
