Falcon 9 nighttime rocket launch from Kennedy Space Center, USA
A winter night launch from Kennedy space Center of a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 48 Starlink satellites. 9 minute time exposure of rocket path. One can see, upper left, a (12 second) gap between first stage engine flameout and second stage engine start. In the lower left, the linear orange trace is the "deceleration burn" of the first stage, about 300 miles away. First stage of Falcon 9 returns to a "drone ship" in the Atlantic Ocean, 150 miles off the coast of Wilmington, North Carolina.
