In 2015, I took a six month sabbatical to travel through Europe, learn French, and study art and history. In March of that year, I had the pleasure of visiting Nice, France. Normally a bustling beach town, in March there were mostly locals with just a few visitors wandering through. I felt lucky therefore, to get a glimpse into how people who live there year-round savor their moments of quietude and peace. This photo looks out across the Mediterranean, where a few bundled-up locals enjoy a little patch of midday sun.
