Eight lightning strikes on the Kansas prairie
A thunderstorm marches across the Kansas prairie; it was one of our targets during a storm-chasing expedition. Bolt after bolt jumped from the cloud bottoms to the field. We watched for about 15 minutes, shotting continuously to capture as many lightning strikes as possible.
