Eastern Giant Swallowtail Defense

Swallowtail caterpillars possess the amazing defense mechanism of flicking out a foul-smelling organ that looks like a snake tongue to scare off predators. Evidently my camera was a bit too scary for this individual to ignore, making for a great opportunity to capture such a cool scene.
