I took these photos in 2022 on the Asinara Island, I was there for "Overlap" an international art and science research project. This is an incredible island with breathtaking nature, it has been many things: in the First World War it was used as a concentration camp for Austro-Hungarian prisoners of war and then became a maximum security prison. Today the island is a national park and crossing it you can still see the Austro-Hungarian church and ossuary and the buildings where prisoners lived in different eras.
