22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Dissipate

"Dissipate" is defined as "to scatter in various directions." This image, clicked in Bushwick, Brooklyn, captures the quintessential human behavior characteristic to "dissipate" and craft our own path. The image also captures the "New Yorker" essence of focusing on our own path, sonder, and interacting with the city's architecture. Captured on the corner of Myrtle Ave and Bleecker St. in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
