Diamond Beach
Icebergs from the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon are pulled out to sea by the tide, then washed up and stranded on the beach. As the tide comes in the waves swirl around them an carry them back into the ocean. The clear ice on the black sand gives the location its popular name of Diamond Beach.
