DC-10 Retardant Drop

As wind swept fires raged in the Catalina Mountains from a lightning caused wild fire (June 2020), every effort was made to save private foothills homes and the mountainous grazing locations for Bighorn Sheep. Multiple aerial tankers were sent in including two DC-10s from Phoenix. Flying through the canyons and mountain passes as if they were flying light aircraft, the skill of these pilots and dedication to preserving as much as possible from the rapidly spreading wild fire was evident.
