Dassanech woman's gaze

When we arrived at this Dassanech village we were struck by the harsh environment in which they lived. Their resources are disappearing with the construction of a massive hydroelectric dam. The indigenous must rely on bottled water being trucked in to their villages. This and climate change has also impacted their ability to farm crops. Their future is uncertain.
