We show a specimen of Chiropterotriton chiropterus, a critically endangered salamander, in one of the best-preserved forests in Oaxaca, Mexico. The villagers of these indigenous communities in the state are strongly committed to conserving their forests. Due to this, it is still possible to find this type of animal.
