On a chimpanzee trek in Kibale, the so-called "ape capital of the world," we encountered a few families and witnessed some daily activities, like grooming. Encountering these close relatives of ours in nature, and witnessing the striking similarities between our two species, is an experience that is almost impossible to describe in words.
