charak
During the year-ending celebration of vernacular-calendar, a festival named charak is very popular in Bengali-culture. The devotees wearing full-red, offered themselves to the God by performing several risky rituals like self-hanging after piercing skin with sharp metal-hook and distributing sweets amongst the masses while hanging.
