21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Bubbles

During the Covid lockdown Harriet said to Keith it would be funny if they put a bubble machine on the van. So he figured out how to make that work and they drove from Tottenham down Kingsland Road to Hackney, London, and had their first experience of leaving “bubbleeessssss….” In their wake they found that with the bubbles and music playing as they passed pubs the people drinking outside would jump up and rave. Harriet and Keith enjoy the wake of bubbles as it brings joy to the majority of people - they're surrounded by smiles and it causes them to make connections with people all over the place.
