Bowls: yellow, pink and drops
I make still lifes with glass vases and bowls. I often shoot outside and use the bright sunlight to create shadows. The shadow of a bowl, which itself is not very interesting as a shape, is always drop-shaped. Here I have placed a yellow and a pink bowl next to each other on a white surface in my garden. On top of the pink bowl I placed a small colorless bowl with shapes that resemble water droplets. The sun does its job by casting a shadow on the surface and adding glare to the glass. By photographing 'the still life' from above I create an almost abstract image.
