My service dog Yarrow and I attended the Boots On The Ground at Fort Adams. Operation Stand Down typically held this event at Roger Williams Park. This year was the first time this incredible display of 6957 combat boots in recognition of the gracious commitment and sacrifice in the war against terror since 9/11/01. Emerging from the tunnel entrance to see all of the American flags waving in the wind brought tears to my eyes. Each boot was tagged with the heroes name, age, branch of military, rank, date of death, the battle they were engaged in and personal info...the air was filled with powerful energy and light from the souls of the beautiful men and women who made sure that I have freedom along with all Americans.
