Black-necked Stilt Afterglow

I know I'm not supposed to attribute human emotions to other animals, but the tenderness that Black-necked Stilts show to each other after mating can cause you to question that belief. When the male slides off the female it caresses the female by putting its wing over her back and they both cross their bills as they walk off. A very touching moment no matter how you feel about animal's emotions.
