It was founded in 1733 by Maharaja Suraj Mal. Famous for its bird sanctuary all over the world; it houses more than 364 species of migratory birds from Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, China, and Siberia. Other tourist attractions include the Lohagarh Fort, Fateh, Laxman Mandir, Bharatpur Palace, Deeg, Ganga Mandir, etc. During sunset, number of birds used to take rest at bank of water water and it shows magical seen.
