20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Awe and Pride
The photo is of my brother and sister-in-law, who welcomed their son Henry in 2021. Henry was about a week old in this photo. As first-time parents, the look of awe and pride struck me as they relaxed in their bedroom.
