I spent hours watching a remarkable Yellow-Crowned Night Heron as it meticulously gathered sticks and flew back and forth to its nest. Though the nest was hidden somewhere deep in the mangrove swamps, I could see the heron tirelessly working, searching for the perfect materials to build its home.
