And I thought the butterflies were beautiful! I found this pair of locust at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, AL, in the Purdy Butterfly House. I was intensely focused on the many varieties of butterflies when these two locust caught my eye. I'd never seen a locust up close. I was amazed by the patterns and almost armor-like legs and head gear.
