Aquae Sulis Stones

I was visiting the Roman Baths in Bath when I walked into a corridor to photograph the reflections of the building in the green water as well as the adjacent Bath Abbey that looms behind the ancient bath complex. I looked down and observed the weathered stones of the floor which seemed to have their own unique character and history. I was struck with the thought of the many people, before the tourists who flock there now, who have trodden on these stones.
