An American white pelican flips his dinner menu of shiner fish into his bill
I have a spot not far from my home where I can sit and watch pelicans for hours. This summer, the shiner fish were doing well in the lakes and the pelicans quickly discovered where to find them. This bird developed the technique of flipping large groups of the small fish.
