Icebergs from the Alsek and Grand Plateau Glaciers populate Alsek Lake at sunrise in Glacier Bay National Park Alaska, from which the Alsek River continues an additional thirteen miles to Dry Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Alsek Lake is an intermediate terminus for the Alsek and Tatshenshini Rivers whose headwaters originate in the Canada's British Columbia and Yukon territories. The Alsek-Tatshenshini River systems is one of the most magnificent river systems in the world which course through the Kluane and Saint Elisa Provincial Parks in Canada, Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska, together have been declared a World Heritage Site.
