Alamo Roots
Alamo roots are capable of growing through the slightest crack between bricks, rocks, even other trees. The photo is showing the resilience of nature against the fragility of man-made. After nearly four centuries of neglect, that 17th century hacienda and sugarmill in the middle of the Yucatán Jungle has more alamos than walls left. It comes to show that our grasp on nature is nothing but fragile and ephemeral. In the end, Nature always takes over and conquers.
